Since a student enters High School, the affiliation of future career commences with his/her studies. This is such a stage where a student has to decide direction regarding his/her future career. Therefore, it is very much necessary that all students get guidance regarding different careers at High School level. In view of this importance, the Government of Gujarat also runs Career Corner Department for High School students. Vikas Vartul Trust publishes Best Career Guidance Magazine in this direction every month since 1990. Thousands of students take benefit of this magazine every month. This magazine is also very useful to College students in addition to High School students.

Under the title 'Vision' [Pathdarshan], this magazine includes information for admission in different courses, information for scholarship and recent educational news. In 'Education Abroad' section, information of examinations viz. TOEFEL, GRE/GMAT, information regarding loan/scholarship for studies abroad, the system of courses in different countries, fee structure etc. are provided in detail. Under 'Career Development', different career oriented information, its history, eligibility, colleges all over India, employment opportunities in Architecture, Interior Design, Medical, Nano-Technology, Bio-technology, Economist, Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Reporter, Modeling, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Advocate, Social Service, Fire Technology, Jewellery Design are provided in detail. Going though this information, a student gets resolution of all issues related to career development as per his/her own interest. Under 'Studies at Home' section, information of Recognized Universities of India teaching different courses is provided. In this magazine under 'Horizon' section, the resolution of issues which confuse students and unemployed is given i.e. the student informs his/her confusion by post or e-mail and the solution of said confusion by experts of Institute is printed in the magazine every month.

In addition, under 'Competitive World' section of this magazine, detailed information [with prescribed application form] regarding recruitment conducted by the State and Central Government is included, hence, the candidate can directly submit application in that regard with the help of said information and application form. Further, the question papers of different recruitment examination conducted in past alongwith solutions are published. These question papers prove very useful to the candidates preparing for recruitment examinations.

With an object that any candidate can commence his independent profession, detailed information of different industries is provided in this Magazine. The candidates are provided all information regarding investment, necessary raw material, machinery, production expense, percentage of sale and profit etc. Further, information regarding self employment through small businesses is also published. In addition, useful suggestions, true events, struggle stories etc. are included for inspiring students to become entrepreneurs.

Thus, this magazine of 48 pages includes all necessary matters for the development of students. It is very much necessary for all students from Std. 8th upto College to get and read.

શ્રી સર્વોત્તમ કારકિર્દી માર્ગદર્શન

વિદ્યાર્થી જ્યારે હાઇસ્કૂલમાં આવે ત્યારથી તેના ભણતરની સાથે ભાવિ કારકિર્દીનું જોડાણ શરૂ થાય છે. આ એક એવો તબક્કો છે જ્યાં વિદ્યાર્થીએ પોતાની ભાવિ કારકિર્દી અંગે દિશા નક્કી કરવાની હોય છે. આથી દરેક વિદ્યાર્થીઓને હાઇસ્કૂલકક્ષાએ જુદી જુદી કારકિર્દી અંગેનું માર્ગદર્શન મળી રહે તે અત્યંત જરૂરી છે. આ અગત્યતાને ધ્યાનમાં લઇ ગુજરાત સરકાર દ્વારા પણ હાઇસ્કૂલના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે કેરિયર કોર્નર વિભાગ ચલાવવામાં આવે છે. વિકાસ વર્તુળ ટ્રસ્ટ દ્વારા આ દિશામાં ૧૯૯૦ના વર્ષથી સર્વોત્તમ કારકિર્દી માર્ગદર્શન સામયિક દર મહિને પ્રકાશીત થાય છે. દર મહિને હજારો વિદ્યાર્થીઓ આ મેગેઝીનનો લાભ ઉઠાવે છે. હાઇસ્કૂલ ઉપરાંત કૉલેજના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે પણ આ સામયિક ખૂબ જ ઉપયોગી છે.

Dhingamasti

Dhingamasti, a magazine for children started from 1999 has membership of about 14,000 and approx. One Lac children take benefit of reading.

As 30% literature in Dhingamasti having been prepared by children, this magazine consists stories of development of adventure, policy, education and patriotism, picture stories, articles of Science, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Laughter Stories etc. This magazine for children for development of artistic power, writing power and intellectual standard of children caters literature of about 600 pages a year. Each child becoming member is given special games gift worth Rs.125/- to Rs.160/- for playing during vacation.

The pictures drawn by children get place in Dhingamasti and hundreds of children make correspondence with Dhingamasti through 'knowledge discussion' section for colour filling competition, vocabulary competition, examination of 'Apply mind' and 'General Knowledge' for interest in mathematics.

Special original articles like 'inspiration for story' and 'writer in 50 paisa' have been developed for the development of writing power amongst children. Humorous statements and unforgettable events produced by children also get place. A section answering confusions of children has also been included and the responses of children are also welcomed. True events of courageous-brave children, true adventurous events within the country and abroad are published under the style of 'Bravo Friend' and 'Life - a name of going ahead'. True adventures of revolutionists and soldiers fighting at army front are praised.

In addition to picture stories, children activities are provided in Gujarati-English - both languages in 8 colourful pages, through which love towards education is developed amongst children of kindergartens.

ધીંગામસ્તી

૧૯૯૯થી શરૂ થયેલ ધીંગામસ્તી બાળ માસિકના ૧૪ હજાર જેટલા કુટુંબો સભ્ય છે ! અને એક લાખ જેટલા બાળકો વાચનનો લાભ ઉઠાવે છે.

ધીંગામસ્તીમાં ૩૦%થી વધુ સાહિત્ય બાળકો દ્વારા તૈયાર થયેલ હોય છે. આ સામયિકમાં સાહસ, નીતિ શિક્ષણ તથા દેશપ્રેમ વિકસાવતી બોધકથાઓ, ચિત્રકથા, વિજ્ઞાન-ગણિત-સામાન્યજ્ઞાનના લેખો, હાસ્યકથા હોય છે. બાળકોની કલા શક્તિ, લેખન શક્તિ તથા બુદ્ધિશક્તિને ખીલવતું આ બાળમાસિક વરસે ૬૦૦ જેટલા પાનાઓનું સાહિત્ય આપે છે. સભ્ય થનાર દરેક બાળકને વેકેશનમાં રમવા માટેની રૂ.૧૨૫ થી ૧૬૦ સુધીની ખાસ રમતો ભેટ આપવામાં આવે છે.

બાળકોમાં લેખન શક્તિ વિકસાવવા વાર્તાપ્રેરણા તથા ૫૦ પૈસામાં લેખક જેવી ખાસ મૌલિક કટાર વિકસાવેલ છે. બાળકો દ્વારા રજુ થતાં ટૂચકા તથા અવિસ્મરણિય પ્રસંગોને પણ સ્થાન મળે છે. બાળકોની મૂંઝવણના જવાબ આપતો વિભાગ પણ સામેલ કરેલ છે અને બાળકોના પ્રતિભાવોને પણ આવકાર મળે છે. હિંમતવાન - બહાદુર બાળકોની સત્યઘટનાઓ, દેશવિદેશની સાચી સાહસિક ઘટનાઓને શાબાશ દોસ્ત તથા જીવન ચલનેકા નામ દ્વારા રજૂ કરાય છે. દેશના ક્રાંતિકારીઓ તથા લશ્કરના મોરચે લડતા જવાંમર્દોના સાચા સાહસોને બિરદાવવામાં આવે છે.

ચિત્રવાર્તાઓ ઉપરાંત ૮ રંગીન પાનાઓમાં ગુજરાતી-અંગ્રેજી બન્ને ભાષામાં બાળપ્રવૃત્તિઓ આપવામાં આવે છે જેના દ્વારા બાળમંદિરના ભૂલકાઓમાં શિક્ષણપ્રેમનો વિકાસ થાય છે.

Nokari Margdarshan

The recruitments take place every year on different posts in different departments-offices of Central and State Government. Generally, the advertisements of these recruitments are published in different newspapers, employment oriented magazines and internet. It is very much necessary that the candidates aspiring job get information of said recruitment in time. But in the matter of information of advertisement for job, the usage of all these sources is difficult for a common candidate. In view of these difficulties of candidates, an Employment Guidance Weekly has been introduced. This is such a Weekly, in which the information of Government job is published during the week and prescribed application forms for submitting application are reached to the candidates at home. Hundreds of youth have attained employment till today with the help of this weekly.

નોકરી માર્ગદર્શન

General Knowledge - Intellegience Test

This is an era of competition. Today it has become very essential for each one to make own self development to survive in this era of competition. But in this area, it is very sad that the course being studied and competition through which one has to pass becomes totally contradictory matters, because for entrance test for admission in higher courses viz. MBA/MCA, Law or recruitment examination like GPSC, UPSC, Bank, Railway, the development of students does not take place which is required to take place at School-College level. As a result, compared to students of other State, the students of Gujarat lag behind in competitive examinations and lose chance of Government job. In view of this career oriented sadness of students of Gujarat, Vikas Vartul organizes General Knowledge - Intelligence Test every year in the month of September since 1977. The main object of Institute in organizing this examination is to familiarize the students for examinations viz. CSAT [Civil Service Aptitude Test], IBPS [Institute of Banking Personnel Selection], NDA, CDS, GPSC, PSI, UPSC, NET, CAT, MAT, TAT, Talati-cum-Mantri, Court Clerk, Railway, L.I.C. and advance development of students in that direction. Any student of Std. 5th upto College level can appear the said examination in Gujarati & English - both mediums. Each student participating in this examination is awarded Certificate and each student attaining place in first hundred at State Level is granted scholarship. This Test develops General Knowledge, Originality, Power of Thoughts, Power of Observation, Power of Understanding, Power of Logic amongst students. In view of importance of this examination, Schools also encourage students to participate in the said examination. More than One Lac students from more than 1200 Schools-Colleges of whole Gujarat State participate in this examination every year.

સામાન્યજ્ઞાન - બુદ્ધિકસોટી

Gyan Parab Library

Generally, all know about Library. But the fact of this Library is somewhat different. Different because there is invaluable contribution of this Library in preparing unemployed and students for competitive examinations for higher career development. Candidates need to read different literature related to examination for preparation for recruitment examinations of different State and Central Governments. The said literature is also not available at all places and is also comparatively costly. Hence, the candidate cannot purchase related literature by expending personally and against it, there is importance of job ! In view of this difficulty of candidates, Vikas Vartul has commenced Gyan Parab Library. This different type of Library in the subject of employment - career includes about 5000 books of Career and different competitive examinations and about 140 Gujarati, Hindi and English Magazines for Career and Competitive Examinations and about 10 Daily Newspapers. At present, total more than 2000 students and candidates aspiring job take benefit of this Library. A candidate becoming member of this Library is provided books and magazines for reading at home for ten days.

આમ તો ગ્રંથાલય એટલે કે લાઇબ્રેરીથી સૌ કૌઇ પરીચિત હોય છે. પરંતુ આ ગ્રંથાલયની બાબત કંઇક અલગ જ છે. અલગ એટલા માટે કે વિદ્યાર્થીઓના ઉચ્ચ કારકિર્દી ઘડતરમાં અને બેરોજગારોને સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરીક્ષાઓ સામે સક્ષમ બનાવવામાં આ ગ્રંથાલયનો બહુમૂલ્ય ફાળો રહ્યો છે. જુદી જુદી રાજ્ય તેમજ કેન્દ્ર સરકારની ભરતીપરીક્ષાઓની તૈયારી કરવા માટે ઉમેદવારે પરીક્ષા સંબંધીત જુદું જુદું સાહિત્ય વાંચવું પડે છે. આ સાહિત્ય દરેક જગ્યાએ ઉપલબ્ધ પણ હોતું નથી અને પ્રમાણમાં મોંઘું પણ હોય છે. એટલે ભરતીપરીક્ષા સંબંધીત સાહિત્ય ઉમેદવાર જાતે ખર્ચ કરીને ખરીદી શકે તેવી સ્થિતિ હોતી નથી અને તેની સામે પાછું નોકરીનું મહત્વ તો ખરું જ ! ઉમેદવારની આ વિડંબણાને ધ્યાનમાં લઇ વિકાસ વર્તુળ દ્વારા આ જ્ઞાનપરબ ગ્રંથાલય શરૂ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. રોજગાર - કારકિર્દી વિષયક અનોખા આ ગ્રંથાલયમાં કારકિર્દી તેમજ વિવિધ સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરીક્ષાના ૫,૦૦૦ જેટલા પુસ્તકો ઉપરાંત દર મહિને ૧૪૦ જેટલા કારકિર્દી અને સ્પર્ધાત્મક પરીક્ષાઓ માટે ઉપયોગી ગુજરાતી, હિન્દી અને અંગ્રેજી સામયિકો અને દરરોજ ૧૦ જેટલા અલગ અલગ અખબારનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. અત્યારે કુલ ૨ હજારથી વધુ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને નોકરીવાંચ્છુક ઉમેદવારો આ ગ્રંથાલયનો લાભ લે છે. આ ગ્રંથાલયમાં સભ્ય બનનાર ઉમેદવારને દસ દિવસ માટે ઘરે પુસ્તકો અને સામયિકો વાંચવા માટે આપવામાં આવે છે.

Classes For Competitive Examination

The Trust also runs classes for written competitive examination for the recruitment by Government of Gujarat in Clerical Cadre, recruitment in the departments like Bank, Railway, LIC. Expert faculty of Trust provides guidance of all examination oriented subjects and weekly tests are also organized for evaluation of students.

સ્પર્ધાપરીક્ષાના વર્ગો

ગુજરાત સરકારમાં કલેરીકલ કેડરની ભરતી, બેંક, રેલવે, એલ.આઇ.સી. જેવા ખાતાઓમાં ભરતી સંદર્ભે ટ્રસ્ટ દ્વારા સ્પર્ધાત્મક લેખીત પરીક્ષાના વર્ગો પણ શરૂ છે. વર્ગમાં ટ્રસ્ટના નિષ્ણાત ફેકલ્ટી દ્વારા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પરીક્ષાલક્ષી તમામ વિષયોનું માર્ગદર્શન આપવામાં આવે છે તથા વિદ્યાર્થીઓના મૂલ્યાંકન માટે સાપ્તાહિક ટેસ્ટ પણ ગોઠવવામાં આવતી હોય છે.
